A Day on the Wey - June

From the Wharf in Godalming to Unstead Lock for a picnic lunch, six of our students under the instruction of PC Pete Harris, Greg Bleach and Jon Taylor took the two Skillway-built canoes and others on the annual canoe trip down the River Wey. Hard work from some of the students in the workshops was rewarded with a gentle, summer's day paddle on the sun-dappled water under over-hanging branches of the riverbank, sipping cups of..........Never! Fun on the water meant being out of control, collisions, capsizing, and water fights amid screams and peals laughter. Another Skillway 'Can Do' and our enormous thanks to Pete Harris.

Godalming Rotary

Our enormous thanks to Godalming Rotary for lunch on Tuesday 1st June and for the opportunity of talking about Skillway. We are also extremely grateful to Godalming Rotary for their proposed gift of essential workshop equipment.

Guildford Rotary
We would like to thank Guildford Rotary for lunch and the opportunity to talk about the work of Skillway on 17 May.

Summer Half Term
The Workshops and Office will be closed between 31 May to 6 June for half-term.

Easter Holidays
The Workshops and Office will be closed for the Easter holidays from midday Wednesday 31 March and re-open on the morning of Monday 19 April for the start of the summer term.

Supporting Mount Brown
Again this year we are supporting police trainees from Mount Brown by taking a recruit and having him/her shadow our volunteers for their work in the community segment of their training.
Open Day 2010
The proposed date for our Open Day this year is Saturday 17th July. Do visit us and see what Skillway is all about.
Wood Required
If you are a commercial business and have a surplus supply of 'off cut' soft wood, would you consider donating it to us?
