Our students are special to Skillway and its dedicated team of workshop managers, support staff, and volunteers. They are usually young boys and girls of between 14 and 16 years of age who have not achieved well at school and have few skills to show to the world.
We can offer a wide range of courses, crafts and trades. Working in small groups of up to six students they are instructed in the health and safety aspects of their activity, the methods and materials which they will use, and then finally offered a number of projects to enable them to evidence to their friends, family and the world in general, the benefits of their newly acquired skills and abilities.
More importantly our students find that the activities at Skillway are not only purposeful but also great fun!
